PD1/PD-L1 interactions identifies unique immune cell rivers
Dr. Arutha Kulasinghe’s group at University of Queensland performed spatial profiling on Akoya’s Phenocycler Fusion with Navinci’s isPLA technology.
They combined a 60-plex marker analysis using Akoya’s Phenocycler Fusion with Navinci’s isPLA technology to investigate the PD1/PD-L1 interaction status. Their study revealed that in interaction-positive samples, PD1/PD-L1 interactions were primarily found at the interface between the tumor and the tumor microenvironment (TME), in areas containing both tumor and immune cells, termed “immune cell rivers.”
